Why does frequency context matter for RF specs?

Gain, loss, noise figure, return loss, VSWR, output power, and phase can change significantly across frequency. A single headline value may be measured at one point while another datasheet reports a band average or worst-case value.

Can VSWR and return loss be compared?

They describe related mismatch behavior but use different formats. They can be converted when impedance context is compatible, but the source format and frequency condition should remain visible.

What RF conditions should be preserved?

Preserve frequency, impedance, bias voltage, current, input power, output power, temperature, modulation or waveform assumptions, package or connector type, and whether the value is typical, minimum, or maximum.
